Class 12 A Roadside Stand explanation reference and context

Class 12 A Roadside Stand  explanation reference to context

Explain with reference to the context of the following stanza .

1- The little  old ------------------- and withering faint .

Reference- These lines are taken from the poem 'A Roadside Stand' by Robert Frost.

Context - The given line gives the roadside stands and their position.

Explanation - There is a small house which is strange and a small new shed has also been set up on the side of the road on the opposite side of the front, where the traffic, all vehicles pass by. There are roadside settlements selling various fresh produce, but they were in very poor condition and, pathetically, very sadly, they requested not to demand only a dole, according to the poet, of bread. Charity, that approach will not be in the interest of justice. They expect only some money, cash whose circulation is found to be helpful for growth. Cash survives the collapse of the city's economy, which gradually diminishes in the absence of each flow.

2-The polished traffic  -------------- and go along .

Reference- these line have been taken from the poem ‘ A roadside stand ‘ written by Robert frost ‘

Context- these line Tells about the meeting of passers-by and villagers passing by.

Explanation - The poet Robert Frost is deeply saddened when he finds that there is enough traffic passing by, the so-called decent gentleman, but with an unnecessary pride, ignoring even those vendors, if some give them a Glances then gets angry and points out the mistake, because those poor seller had marked some symbols of N and S in there way. Being unskilled he drowned them, but passersby show anger and hatred towards him and those around him. Those vendors offer wild berries in wooden quarts and they also offer crock-necked golden squash with silver warts. They even offer the beauty of those beautiful landscapes. The poet depicts the anger, representing the anger of the village that those travelers have money but show pettiness. The passengers angrily advised that o also have money along with it.

3-The hurt to the ----------------  to be keeping from us .

Reference- these line have been taken from the poem ‘ A roadside stand ‘ written by Robert frost ‘

Context-  The lines present the expectation of the villagers and the promises made to them.

Explanation- The poet is very serious and steady about his words and complaints. According to the poet, his complaint is not about the ignorance of the hurt, but about the scenes. The pain comes from the breach of trust carried out by the officials and politicians and this suffering is hidden, invisible and unexplained. They put theirs on the roadside for the convenience of the traveller but only expect money to be circulated as passersby should stop there and buy their fresh produce but most are ignored. Vendor efforts are also progressive and they also want to expand their existence as they have been promised the moving picture, cinema and life like heroes and such promises are made to them by politician who seemed to be in power. Actually those politicians won the seat election by the votes of those villages but later all the promises are found to be false.

4-It in the news -------------------  the ancient way .

Reference- These lines are taken from the poem 'A Roadside Stand' by Robert Frost.

Context--. The lines present the expectation of the villagers and the promises made to them.

Explanation - Villagers had news that all those unhappy villagers would have an unexpected development, they would be mercifully, lovingly invited to live in the village, they would be provided with modern facilities like theatres, stores, provided with modern facilities. And then they will not need to think about themselves, they will be free from all worries. On the other hand, it's really what it seems when those greedy good-natured, pretenders who make their prayers to those ordinary villagers, thinking only of their own benefit, become beasts, take over their lives, destroy their lives, encroach on their land illegally, console those sellers but actually make them fool and reduce their intelligence, intellectuals and start misleading them which makes them lazy and dependent and thus their ancient ideal of regular labour and regularity.

5-The thought of so -----------------  didn’t it see ?

Reference  -These lines are taken from the poem 'A Roadside Stand' by Robert Frost.

Context- The anger and pain of the poet is shown on the condition of the roadside stand sellers.

Explanation- The poet is very disappointed to see the pathetic condition of the poor seller. He constantly thinks for the welfare of the seller but sometimes he feels that doing something he thought is childish and the result is meaningless so it is hard to continue. In despair, those poor sellers sit at the window all day praying for a buyer but all in vain. They expected the sound of the vehicle breaking while stopping, but all those passengers seemed selfish out of all the thousand vehicles stopping there, only to inquire about prices, or any other stops, but only to hay. When they use it to blow up the vehicle to turn back the empty space. All this bothers them. Someone stops to ask about the route and destination and foolishly asks about fuel availability, even without using common sense and ignoring the seller's offer. The poet gets angry and scolds them for this.

6-No , in country money  --------  out of my pain .

Reference - these line have been taken from the poem ‘ A roadside stand ‘ written by Robert frost ‘

Context -These lines tell the reality of the imagination of that farmer and poet.

Explanation- Here the poet has calculated that in those villages there is no development according to the stand. They never get the benefits and benefits that are essentially necessary for growth. And in the economic graph of the country, the villagers are at the back. Country's voice, villagers constantly complain of ignorance but nothing happens. The poet thinks that by trying his best he cannot separate those unfortunate sellers from their pain. There's no way to strike them all at once. And this illusion of the poet is broken when he regains consciousness the next day. Comes into reality and thinks it is a wonder, a dream to make your fantasy come true. He thinks that everything should be according to him, no one will be there to console him and take him out of his pain slowly, safely.
