1-      Explain with reference to the context of the following stanza

(a)    Aunt Jennifer’s -----------------  sleek chivalric certainly.

Reference – The line above is taken from Aunt Jennifer's tiger in a poem written by Adrienne Rich.

Context- The verse introduces tigers and tiger movements made by Aunt Jennifer.

Explanation:  Aunt Jennifer is an old lady who created the image of a tiger on the screen. There the tiger is shown in running condition. He is the resident of the lush green world, the gem topaz, shining like a forest. Their natural habitat is the forest. They are very courageous, they are not afraid of the people under the tree, they are symbolically courageous, courageous. Man can frighten them. Those tigers are found running with decency, might and confidence. They know, they believe they are the most powerful.

Context - The verse tells of Aunt Jennifer's old condition and her everlasting responsibilities.

Explanation- Aunt Jennifer has fulfilled all the responsibilities that a married woman takes up and fulfill s in her life. But now she is old and weaves wool too, some clothes are difficult for her. His finger is trembling while knitting and now his hands are so weak that he finds a very light-weight ivory needle to pull through the wool. Now her hands, her body, her spirit so exhausted that she is unable to continue, bears the responsibilities of married life symbolically with the ring of bracelets on her shoulders that seem heavy on Aunt Jennifer's hand.

(c)    When aunt is .------------proud and unafraid

Context- This line tells about the end result of Aunt Jennifer.

Explanation - Aunt Jennifer has fulfilled the essential responsibilities of married life till her last time. Now she has gone mad which is very painful that even after her death. His hands were found frightened, terrified, terrified as they were still tied. Even today the ring is found in their hands and the ring is a symbol of the fact that Aunt Jennifer is still a slave. The ring is the jewel that kept Aunt Jennifer alive even after her death. She left, but the tiger she had made in the panel would keep on jumping, running proudly

  and bravery. Those tigers are never afraid of anyone.

 

                                 Central idea of the poem

Aunt Jennifer's Tiger is a fictional and pathetic poem by poet Adrienne Rich. She portrays the fate and final conclusion of a woman portrayed as Aunt Jennifer, who after her marriage has lived her entire life under limitations and responsibilities. She was born quietly and faced all the pressures and exploitation throughout her life. She weaves some tiger image which represents her inner desire and feeling but in reality she lived a weak and timid life. Even after getting old, she could not get rid of household chores. Her husband uncle made her wear a ring which was still in her hand after her death which shows that she could not be free till then.

A weakness and fear always remained in his heart.
